Ruby client for Coherence would be a wonderful idea. I just read about SquareSpace's (http://www.squarespace.com) scalability strategy of using memory grid powered by Oracle Coherence for re-balancing and caching layers over at the High Scalability Blog (http://highscalability.com). I was simply amazed by their site's performance, given their current traffic statistics. It would definitely be a hefty investment upfront for startups like Twitter but can save millions in the long run. Please keep me posted on any developments on this. Btw, congratulations on your impressive achievement!
